Nationwide Quarry Vehicle Brake Testing Service
It is an essential part of every quarry vehicle owner’s maintenance records and is required to prove the condition of the vehicle’s brakes. Without this information the operator is exposed to unscheduled production downtime, financial cost, accidents involving loss of life and the possibility of personal injury insurance claims.
The consequences of not getting your heavy plant and machinery brake tested in a quarry environment can be very serious for both the owner and the workforce.
We continue to provide a fully certified brake testing service on-site for civil, quarry, mining and construction companies throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Our trained engineers will carry out brake testing on heavy plant and machinery including fully laden Rigid and Articulated Dumpers and Loading Shovels to meet Health and Safety requirements.
Our Brake testing service provides regular routine testing of your heavy vehicle and braking systems on your site to reduce production downtime and to ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
We provide you with peace of mind

Our Quarry Vehicle CCTV and Safety Solutions help ensure your organisation achieve legislative compliance across the entire fleet
Quarry and civil works assets may include Excavators, Dumpers, rigids loading shovels and artics,as well as specialist vehicles such as planers and maintenance machinery.
PCP Group provide vehicle cameras, monitors, reversing radars, braking systems, digital recording devices and warning alarms for quarry vehicles
There are a number of key factors to consider when controlling the significant hazards arising from the use of quarry vehicles. The HSE and HSA state the most fatal injuries involving dumpers are overturning – over 60% of dumper deaths involve the driver when the vehicle overturns and collision – most other deaths occur when pedestrians are struck by dumpers or loading shovels when reversing or going forward on-site.
The HSE advises that sites need to plan the work so that dumpers are used on gradients that are within their safe working capacity, all quarry dumper and loading shovel drivers are fully trained and demonstrate safe driving practices, ensure all loads are evenly distributed and more importantly the loads do not obscure the quarry dumper or loading shovel operator’s vision.
Our camera and monitor, collision avoidance radar systems are used by some of the largest sites in the UK and Ireland to ensure safe working practices to reduce the risk of an incident involving their employees or their machinery.
